The story of RAMENCRAFT began when Milan Tarabík, the number one man on our team, signed up for karate as a kid and met a Japanese master who sparked a whirlwind of passion for Japan, its culture, samurai, and samurai swords. Over time, Japanese cuisine joined the mix.

We’re guys who grew up on samurais and Nintendo. We realized that ramen isn’t the only thing that fascinates us about Japan and its culture. We discovered we’ve shared a love for Japanese tradition and pop culture since childhood. Today, even our kids inspire us with their pixelated worlds. That’s how RAMENCRAFT was born.

But how can an experienced Czech gastronomer run an authentic Japanese establishment? A place where ramen tastes and looks like it does in Japan, where chefs prepare ramen just as well every time? A place where opening the door feels like stepping into the Land of the Rising Sun, and suddenly you crave ramen?

It didn’t take long for the RAMENCRAFT team to welcome Mr. Shogo. An experienced ramen master who has been living in the Czech Republic for some time. He speaks fluent Japanese, English, and a bit of Czech. With many years of practice under his belt, he can identify a mistake just by the smell of the broth. In December 2023, Mr. Shogo gave us the green light — our ramen is truly authentic and ready to go out into the world.

What are the results of cooking with Retigo products?

► Our dishes and menu are very specific — we don’t cook dumplings or other Czech meals because our focus is on Japan. But you can’t cook sushi in a combi oven (laughs). We prepare ramen in a million ways and make various broths. We mainly use the combi in steam mode, which works perfectly.

What advantages do Retigo products bring to your kitchen?

► The combi significantly speeds up our work. It’s a great helper.

Would you recommend Retigo to others? And why?

► I would recommend it for its ease of use.
