At the edge of the forest. At the end of the road. On the border of Wallachian wilderness. Among oaks and beeches, you’ll find a place called At the Edge of the Forest. Discover the peace of a family guesthouse combined with a modern restaurant. We cook and bake only from local ingredients and rely on the hard work of local people. We decided to bring life back to this place. We replaced two buildings of the former forester’s lodge of the City Forests from 1892 with new ones.
We preserved the original layout and architecture of the main building with its characteristic two gables. We searched long for a place where we could spend free time enjoying good food with friends, and finally, we decided to create such a place. Not only for ourselves but for all lovers of good gastronomy and pleasant relaxation in a peaceful environment.

What are the results of cooking with Retigo products?
► We use the combis constantly. We make chicken supreme, confit veal cheeks, and other delicacies. We use baking, steaming, confit, overnight baking, sous-vide, manual mode, and proofing. For breakfast, we bake our own bread and also smoke with the Vision Smoker.
